Artist’s Statement - “There is a bright line dividing my work: between everything that came before and everything after I became a Buddhist practitioner. By letting go of the desire to create something great or achieve some level of accomplishment, the work became free to evolve spontaneously.

Drawing serves as the cornerstone of my creative expression, supplemented by a mixed media approach to crafting figurative art and portraiture that seeks to showcase the beauty and complexity of human beings. In Buddhist philosophy, every endeavor presents an opportunity for mindfulness practice. I endeavor to remain present and attentive throughout my artistic process, mindful of each mark as it’s being made.

Being able to make any art is a privilege, and I'm grateful for the guidance and wisdom imparted by all my past and present teachers. I am also profoundly thankful to my family and friends for all the support.

And to whoever might be reading - thank you!”
